Storefront Window Tinting
A display window fades a shade lighter every summer. Customers browsing near the glass on a July afternoon get uncomfortable and don't linger. The register area bakes in direct sun for three hours a day. None of that requires losing the view that makes a storefront a storefront — the right film fixes it while the glass stays clear.
What storefront film protects
Retail glass takes a specific kind of abuse: full sun exposure for most of the day, merchandise and displays sitting directly against the glass, and customers who need to feel comfortable standing near the windows rather than avoiding that part of the store. Solar film cuts the heat and UV causing merchandise fade and window-side discomfort, while keeping the storefront's visibility from the sidewalk intact — the whole point of a storefront in the first place.
We check your glass before we quote
Storefront glass is often larger and older than residential glass, and large single panes carry their own risk profile for thermal stress. Before any storefront job gets a number, we identify the glass and confirm the film against the manufacturer's compatibility chart — the same process described on the main window tint page. If a pane is large enough or shaded in a way that changes the safe options, we'll tell you before anything is quoted, not after.
Pairs with storefront graphics
A number of storefront customers combine window film with storefront window graphics in the same visit — hours and logo on the door, an offer or seasonal graphic on one pane, and solar film across the rest of the glass. Both are quoted together so the whole storefront gets designed as one project instead of two separate vendors working around each other.
How it works
1. Tell us about your storefront. Roughly how much glass, what's happening near it (register, displays, seating), and what's bothering customers or staff. 2. Get a written quote within one business day. 3. Installation by appointment, scheduled around your hours so the storefront isn't disrupted during business.
FAQ
Will tinting our storefront glass hide us from the street?
No — solar films used for storefronts are built to protect from heat and UV while staying close to clear from both sides. Darker or frosted looks are a separate, deliberate choice, usually for a specific section of glass rather than the whole front.
Can film protect our window displays from fading?
Yes. UV is the main cause of color fade on merchandise, signage, and displays sitting near the glass, and film blocks most of it.
Do you work around our store hours?
Yes — storefront installs are scheduled by appointment, often before opening or after close, so it doesn't interrupt a business day.
